Ericsson, Volvo Group, and Bharti Airtel have officially revealed their collaborative research initiative to investigate the possibilities of Extended Reality (XR), Digital Twin technologies, and AI within the manufacturing industry. By harnessing the capabilities of 5G and 5G Advanced, this partnership aspires to revolutionize industrial processes, improve workforce training, and facilitate real-time optimization of operations, the company stated in a filing with the exchange.

According to the filing, a fundamental aspect of this initiative is the implementation and investigation of Airtel’s advanced 5G network, which will serve as the basis for industrial XR applications.

Thanks to its ultra-low latency and high-speed capabilities, 5G has the potential to provide distinct connectivity for real-time simulations, design prototyping, and immersive training across various factory and industrial locations.

This presents an opportunity to explore new immersive ideas in the manufacturing sector, experiment with 'what if' scenarios, and enhance production workflows without interrupting actual operations, said Bharti Airtel in an exchange filing.

“We are thrilled to leverage the capabilities of our advanced 5G network for innovative industrial applications in partnership with Ericsson and Volvo Group. Through this collaboration, our high-speed, low latency 5G network will redefine and transform the manufacturing sector by enabling real-time XR applications for enhanced productivity and efficiencies, unlocking new revenue streams and accelerating the adoption of Industry 4.0 applications,” said Sharat Sinha, Director & CEO – Airtel Business.

Bharti Airtel share price today

Bharti Airtel share price today rose nearly 1%, the stock touched an intraday high of 1,647.60, and an intraday low of 1,619.95 on the BSE.

Anshul Jain, Head of Research at Lakshmishree Investment and Securities stated that Bharti Airtel share price has faced strong rejection at the box high of 1,733, forming a bearish reversal candle while making a lower high on the daily chart. The 10, 20, and 50-day EMAs remain flat, signaling a continued range-bound structure between 1,733 and 1,511. With the rejection bar attracting significant volumes, a broad-based selloff could drive prices toward the box low of 1,511 in the coming weeks. Traders should prepare for further downside as bearish momentum builds.
