Reliance Power Limited, together with its subsidiaries, is primarily engaged in the business of generation of power. The projects include coal, gas, hydro, wind and solar-based energy projects. The portfolio of the Reliance Power Group also includes Ultra Mega Power Projects (UMPPs). It is in the business of setting up and operating power projects and the development of coal mines associated with such projects. It has built a portfolio of power projects and coal mines. The Company’s projects under development include three coal-fired projects to be fueled by reserves from captive mines and supplies from India and elsewhere; one gas-fired project, and 12 hydroelectric projects, six of them in Arunachal Pradesh, five in Himachal Pradesh and one in Uttarakhand. Its project portfolio also includes 3,960 megawatts (MW) Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project (Madhya Pradesh). Its projects include Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project, Krishnapatnam Ultra Mega Power Project, and Chitrangi Power Project.
