Dividend stock 2023: In this truncated week on Dalal Street, Infosys shares would be in focus today as the Indian IT major is going to trade ex-dividen today. The board of directors of Infosys Ltd has already declared ₹18 per share interim dividend for its eligible shareholders payable during the current fiscal. The company board also fixed Infosys dividend record date on 25th October 2023.

Infosys dividend record date

Informing Indian stock market bourses about Inosys dividend details, the IT major said, "This has reference to our letter dated September 14, 2023, regarding the captioned subject. The Board, at their meeting held on October 11-12, 2023, transacted the following items of business: Declared an interim dividend of ₹ 18/- per equity share. Fixed October 25, 2023 as record date for interim dividend and November 6, 2023 as payout date."

Infosys dividend history

Earlier, Infosys shares traded ex-dividend on 2nd June 2023 for finalising the list of eligible Infosys shareholders for payment of ₹17.50 per share final dividend for the financial year 2022-23. Prior to that, Infosys shares traded ex-dividend on 27th October 2022 for payment of ₹16.50 per share to its eligible shareholders. Likewise, Infosys shares traded ex-dividend on 31st May 2022 for payment of ₹16 per share dividend to its eligible shareholders.

In 2021, Infosys shares traded ex-dividend twice. On 31st may 2021, Infosys shares traded ex-dividend for finalising the list of eligible shareholders for payment of ₹15 per share dividend. Similarly, Infosys shares traded ex-dividend on 26th October 2021 for payment of ₹15 per share interim dividend to its eligible shareholders.

Since 2007, Infosys board has been declaring dividend for its shareholders on a regular basis. In 2007, Infosys traded ex-dividend on 18th October after a gap of six years (as per the information available on BSE website).

Infosys Q2 results 2023

Infosys Ltd reported a mere 3.2 per cent year-on-year rise in its consolidated net profit (attributable to owners of the company) for the fiscal's second quarter ended September (Q2FY24) to ₹6,212 crore. Infosys had reported a profit of ₹6,021 crore in the year-ago period. Sequentially, the consolidated net profit was up 4.5 per cent.
