Dividend Stocks: Shares of SKF India Ltd will be under investors’ radar on Wednesday's trading session as the stock will trade ex-dividend today.

The ex-dividend date is the day on which the equity share price adjusts to reflect the next dividend payout. It is the day the stock becomes ex-dividend, which means it does not carry the value of its next dividend payment from that day forward.

Dividends are payable to all shareholders whose names appear on the company's list by the end of the record date.

According to the company's exchange filing, Thursday, 29th June has been fixed as the record date for the purpose of forthcoming AGM and dividend, if declared at the AGM.

“The board decided to recommend to the members final dividend of 40 per equity share for the financial year ended 31st March 2023, which shall be paid/dispatched within 30 days from the date of ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM), if declared and approved by the members at the AGM," said the company in an exchange filing.

Investors should also keep an eye on the few companies listed below whose boards are set to meet on June 28.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL)

The company on Thursday, June 22 announced that  it will hold a board meeting on Wednesday, June 28 to consider raising funds through a rights issue.

The company said in a filing to the stock exchanges on Thursday that its board of directors will take into account alternative modalities for capital infusion, including rights issues, to achieve its goals of energy transition, net zero, and energy security.

“The Board of Directors of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited will be held on Wednesday, 28th June 2023,to consider the various modalities for capital infusion including rights issue, for achieving energy transition, net zero and energy security objectives, subject to requisite approvals as required under applicable law," said BPCL in its filing.

Canara Bank 

The state-owned bank on Thursday, June 22 announced that it will hold a board meeting on Wednesday, June 28 to consider and approve the capital raising plan.

“This is to inform the stock exchanges that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the bank is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 28th June, 2023, at its Head Office, Bengaluru inter-alia to consider and approve the Capital Raising Plan of the Bank for the financial year 2023-24," said the bank in an exchange filing.
