Shankar Sharma's small cap rule: Try maartey rehne ka…
Shankar Sharma, a seasoned investor, jokingly gave a mantra for investing in small cap stocks in a tweet. Sharma said the best approach was to keep experimenting with various small cap companies to find out which small cap works best for investing.

An interesting mantra for investing in small cap stocks was humorously put forward by seasoned investor Shankar Sharma in a tweet. Sharma believed that the best strategy was to keep trying different small cap companies in order to figure out which small cap works best for investments.
Sharma wrote on Twitter that investing in small caps brought him back to his college days when they would chase the lasses and have a similar tactic. His humorous pun implied that if you kept trying, something will eventually work out.
Smallcaps continue to be Shankar Sharma's preferred category. Sharma has always been known for his smallcap bets, several of which have turned into multibaggers.
Sharma, who spent time in the stock market for more than 30 years, is known for his ability to identify multibaggers.
Media reportsclaim that Sharma currently invests his own money rather than managing client money. He previously worked with First Global, a supplier of portfolio management services (PMS). He said in a media article that he does not have a concentrated portfolio because small-cap stocks carry a disproportionately higher risk and a diversified portfolio makes more sense.
Droneacharya Aerial Innovations, Brightcom Group, and Priti International are just a few of the stocks that Sharma now owns. Some of his ventures received additional criticism, particularly Brightcom Group, where issues with corporate governance have surfaced.
Brightcom Group shares locked in 5% upper circuit; What is fuelling the rally?
In March in an interview with ET now, the market vetran recommended investors to allocate at least 20% and 30% of their equity exposure to funds managed by professional investors. He also advises against investing in private banks or banks in general, and suggests that investors focus on small caps. He also recommends that retail investors allocate a portion of their portfolio to real estate, gold, and fixed income.
