Q4 results today: Tata Motors, Cipla, Vedanta among others to announce earnings
Market investors will be waiting for the quarterly earnings of Tata Motors, Vedanta, HAL, DLF, Cipla and others to be announced today

Sensex and the Nifty ended flat with negative bias on May 11, as Sensex closed at 61,904.52, down 0.06 per cent points, while the Nifty ended the day at 18,297, down 0.10 per cent. Investors will be eyeing the quarterly earnings of Tata Motors, Cipla, Vedanta, Hindustan Aeronautics, Colgate-Palmolive, DLF and others up for release on Friday.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, APL Apollo Tubes, Cholamandalam Financial Holdings, Greaves Cotton, Indraprastha Gas, Indian Overseas Bank, Manappuram Finance, Max Financial Services, Polycab India, will be in focus ahead of quarterly earnings on May 12.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors shares closed 0.43% higher at ₹511.65 per share on BSE on Thursday.
Auto major Tata Motors posted its first quarterly profit in two years as it had reported consolidated net profit of ₹2,957.71 crore for the third quarter ending December (Q3FY23), while reported a consolidated revenue from operations at ₹88,488.59 crore, up 22.5% as against ₹72,229 crore from the year-ago period.
Cipla
Cipla shares closed lower at ₹943.70 down by 0.026 per cent on BSE on Thursday.
The pharma major had reported 9.93 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to ₹800.96 crore for the quarter ended December 2022. This is against a net profit of ₹728.60 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Vedanta
Vedanta shares closed 1.49 per cent lower at ₹281.55 on BSE on Thursday. The stock has declined by nearly 11 per cent on a year-to-date basis.
Vedanta Ltd reported 42 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to ₹3,092 crore for the December 2022 quarter. This is against a net profit of ₹5,354 crore in the year-ago period, while the consolidated revenue declined by 0.017 per cent to ₹33,69 crore in the quarter under review from ₹33,697 crore a year ago.
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd shares closed 2.16 per cent up at ₹3,018.40 on BSE.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited reported a net profit of ₹1,155.2 crore, up 23.8 per cent year-on-year as against ₹933.4 crore reported in the year-ago period, while revenue from Operations declined 3.9 per cent to ₹5,665.5 crore in the December quarter as compared to ₹5,893.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.
