Q4 results today: Vodafone Idea, ZEE to SAIL - these companies to announce earnings on May 25

The corporate earnings for the quarter ending March 2023 have so far been in line with street estimates. The Q4 earnings, which is now in its last legs, have largely seen the banking sector outperforming due to the rising interest rates, while the IT sector feeling the heat of the US recession.
Most banks reported a healthy earnings beat in Q4FY23, mainly led by continued strong credit growth, healthy margins, higher recoveries from written-off accounts and lower LLP, as asset quality continues to improve.
On May 25, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Vodafone Idea, Steel Authority of India, Bharat Dynamics, Emami, Radico Khaitan, among other companies will announce their March quarter earnings.
Page Industries, GMM Pfaudler, Aster DM Healthcare, Mishra Dhatu Nigam, Indian Energy Exchange, eClerx Services, General Insurance Corporation of India, Strides Pharma Science, AIA Engineering, Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals, etc. are also among companies that announce their Q4FY23 results today.
Some other companies include Indian Railway Finance Corporation, Dredging Corporation of India, Shilpa Medicare, Infibeam Avenues, Kolte-Patil Developers, Max India, Triveni Engineering, and TTK Prestige.
On Wednesday, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the country's largest life insurer , posted impressive growth in the bottom line for the fourth quarter of FY23.
LIC's consolidated Q4 FY23 net profit stood at ₹13,190.79 crore, rising by a staggering 447.47% or 5.5 folds from ₹2,409.39 crore, YoY. Sequentially, the net profit growth was 107.77%.
Consolidated net premium income stood at ₹1,32,223.21 crore in Q4FY23, tumbled by 8.27% from ₹1,44,158.84 crore in Q4 of the previous fiscal.
Vodafone Idea: The company is expected to post a net loss of ₹7,960 crore. Its revenue is expected to remain flat sequentially, while EBITDA is expected to fall 2.6% QoQ to ₹ ₹4,072 crore owing to negative operating leverage. Reported margins are expected at 38.7%, down 70 bps QoQ.
ICICI Direct builds in monthly ARPU growth of 1% QoQ at ₹136 and expects churn for Vodafone Idea to remain elevated, with around 4 million customer exits likely in Q4. Key monitorables going ahead will be fund raise, 5G launch plan, capex commentary, ARPU trajectory ahead.
