Kolkata: RP Sanjiv Goenka group's demerged companies from its flagship firm CESC, Spencers Retail and CESC Ventures, made debuts on bourses today. Spencers Retail and CESC Ventures are non-power businesses of the power-generation and distribution major CESC.

On BSE, CESC shares ended mildly higher at 686.55. Spencers Retail shares closed at 212.80, after trading in a range of 230 to 212.80. CESC Ventures settled at 520.60 after remaining in the range of 565 to 520.60.

CESC shareholders, who had 10 shares, received six shares of Spencers Retail of face value of 5 each under the scheme of arrangement. While rest of the non-power businesses of CESC such as BPO, real estate and FMCG will be under CESC Ventures, and shareholders received two shares of 10 each.
