
SpiceJet share price surged as much as 13.49 per cent to ₹32.40 apiece in Thursday's trading session after the low-cost airline launches direct flight to new Indian cities.
SpiceJet shares have largely remained negative in near-term. The low-cost carrier shares descended over 26 per cent in six months and nearly 50 per cent in one year.
SpiceJet announced on Wednesday that it plans to more than double both its operating fleet and daily flights this winter, along with launching new services to Port Blair and Udaipur.
"The airline will operate daily flights to Port Blair from Kolkata and Delhi, and to Udaipur from Delhi and Mumbai, offering travellers the perfect opportunity to plan their winter getaways," a release said.
With services to Port Blair already underway, flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Udaipur are set to launch on November 6.

SpiceJet, which has recently faced challenges, is now focusing on expanding its active fleet and introducing new routes.

Flights to Port Blair have already commenced, while daily non‐stop flights to Udaipur from Delhi and Mumbai will begin November 6, 2025. Tickets are available for booking on SpiceJet’s official website and mobile app.
Passengers flying to Port Blair from Kolkata will enjoy seamless, non‐stop connectivity, while those travelling from Delhi will make a short stopover at Kolkata. The Delhi–Port Blair service is a direct connection with no aircraft change, ensuring a smooth and convenient journey.
