New Delhi: Here is a list of top 10 stocks that may be in focus on Wednesday:
Bharti Airtel: The telecom operator, after market hours on Tuesday, reported a loss of ₹1,035 crore for the quarter-ended December, amid a brutal price war with Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. This is the company’s third quarterly loss in 14 years, as against a profit of ₹86 crore in the same period last year. The loss, however, has narrowed from a whopping ₹23,044.9 crore in the three months ended September.
Sun Pharma: The pharmaceutical company on Tuesday announced that one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries has launched Absorica LD capsules in the US that manages severe recalcitrant nodular acne in patients who are 12-year old or below. The capsule can be taken with or without food, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Indiabulls Housing: The housing finance company will announce its earnings for the December quarter today. Separately, real estate firm DLF Ltd will also release its financial results for the third quarter.
Cadila: The US Food and Drug Administration inspected the Alidac Pharmaceuticals Ltd manufacturing facility, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cadila Healthcare Ltd located in Ahmedabad’s special economic zone. The inspection took place between 27 January and 4 February. In a regulatory filing, the company said the US regulator did not issue any observation.
Cipla: The pharmaceutical company will announce its earnings for the quarter-ended December today. Separately, Bosch Ltd and Berger Paints India Ltd will also report their numbers for the third quarter of this fiscal.
HDFC Life: The insurance company, after market hours on Tuesday, said its board has approved the appointment of Rushad Abadan as alternate director to Stephanie Bruce with effect from 5 February. Abadan has not been debarred by any authority to hold the office of director, the company said.
Vedanta: The Anil Agarwal-led company on Tuesday said the Kolkata bench of the National Company Law Tribunal approved the merger of Electrosteel Steels Ltd (ESL) with Vedanta Ltd, following which the latter will directly hold 95.48% stake in ESL. The acquisition of ESL fits well within Vedanta’s strategy of forward integration and complements the existing iron ore set up as well as mines in Jharkhand.
Adani Enterprises: The company will today announce its earnings for the third quarter of the current financial year. Separately, the group’s gas company Adani Gas Ltd will also report its December-quarter results.
Tata Global Beverages: The company’s net profit in the third quarter jumped 21.4% year-on-year to ₹120.6 crore. Revenue of the Tata-group firm also rose 2.6% to ₹1,961.9 crore from a year ago.
IFCI: The state-owned non-banking financial company for infrastructure completed its stake sale in National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) and further received an amount of approximately ₹178.65 crore.
