- A new fine jewellery launch, a weekend pop up space in Bengaluru and celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar’s new book has our attention this weekend
Imagine a bleeding tooth or a citrus peel—as a piece of jewellery. For Rahul Jhaveri, founder of fine jewellery label Studio Renn, there’s a sparkle waiting to be discovered in seemingly mundane things. Studio Renn’s debut collection is on display at Mumbai’s Gallery Maskara with Seeing The Unseen, a design exhibition that focuses not only on the jewellery but also the perception and sensory experience of art. Curator Divya Thakur has segregated the exhibition space into two parts: an open area with seven cocoons and a closed space with 20 pieces drawing from Renn’s design collection.—SD
Seeing The Unseen is on till 21 February at Gallery Maskara, Mumbai.
Bengaluru has a new weekend hot spot. On 2 February, sportswear brand Puma launched a weekend pop-up space. The space, intended to go seamlessly from gastropub to performance space, is inspired by street-style cultures—expect to find art and graffiti on the walls, from the staircase to the mezzanine floor. Producer and musician Aqua Dominatrix performed on the opening night, setting the tone for the space.—SD
Puma Shuffle is located in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar, and is open on Fridays and Saturdays.
Join nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar for an open day and the launch of her book Notes For Healthy Kids: And For Parents Too! She will be talking all things food, fitness and fun, followed by a Q&A session. The book talks about toxic diet trends and myths related to children’s nutrition.—DSK
The open day will take place at Delhi’s India International Centre on 16 February, and at Mumbai’s International Convention Hall on 22 February.
