How to Lounge this weekend

  • From Good Earth and WomenWeave collaboration to Karen Anand's farmer’s market in Bengaluru, here’s what has our attention this weekend

Summer Style

As summer looms nearer, Good Earth and WomenWeave have collaborated to create a new retail line, called Kulaay, of soft silk and light Khadi saris and stoles. The collection, which pays homage to traditional crafts, celebrates woven patterns, simple textures and fresh colours. Available at Good Earth, Raghuvanshi Mills, Mumbai this weekend.—AB

Royal Getaway

The Gogunda Palace hotel is located in the quiet village of Gogunda, about an hour from Udaipur airport. Maharana Pratap Singh was crowned in this palace in 1572, and he made Gogunda the capital of Mewar until Udaipur was built. Now, after seven years of restoration, each of its 40 suites and rooms have been given a unique look. Spend a weekend in a luxurious room with stunning art for company, go kite-flying on the terrace, and spend evenings with folk music in the gardens. Check out the signature Raaj Tilak Suite, located in the rooms where the maharana was coronated, decorated with stone and marble, ornate woodwork and intricate murals.—ND
