Lakme fashion week: AK-OK highlights design language of Odisha's Bonda community

Anamika Khanna's spring summer collection brought together tribal motifs and urban wear

Designer Anamika Khanna presented her collection on the third day of the Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI, in Mumbai, on 15 March
Drawing inspiration from Odisha's Bonda community, the collection infused tribal colours, motifs and embroideries into ensembles like jackets, slouchy pants, drapes and kaftans
'The Bonda community inspired this collection with their signature rich beaded clothing adorned with neon beads, shells, and brass neck rings, complemented by fabrics woven at home,' Khanna said in the press notes
