Rachel Hollis, a lifestyle blogger-turned-motivational guru-turned-multimillion-dollar entrepreneur, is known for her best-selling books Girl, Wash Your Face and Girl, Stop Apologizing. Her latest offering, Didn’t See That Coming (HarperCollins, ₹399), is written from the “wounds”, rather than “scars”, of a catastrophe. Days into editing this book, Hollis’ 16-year-old marriage ended, putting her in the odd position of being a sufferer as well as a giver of advice. Like her earlier books, parts of this one may rankle with some readers, but in these hard times, even a little bit of hope (and Hollis provides plenty of it) may help us deal with life better.
