Shiv Sena Yuva Sena's (Shinde Faction) General Secretary Rahool Kanal, who was one of the 20 people to vandalise The Habitat standup comedy set in Mumbai where Kunal kamra performed, has now claimed that the comedian was being paid for content against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and others.
In a long post on X, Rahool Kanal demanded that Kunal Kamra's YouTube account be demonetised and scrutinised, alleging that the comedian was receiving payouts from Khalistani elements.
“Khalistani money coming in,” Rahool Kanal said in his post.
The Shiv Sena Yuva leader also promised that he would share 300 screenshots of payments that Kunal Kamra received “after multiple videos against our respected PM [Narendra Modi] sir and others.”
Rahool Kanal said, “Speak against Our Honourable Prime Minister , Honourable Home Minister , Hon Finance Minister , Chief Ministers , Deputy Chief Ministers , talk I’ll about our economy… being the 5 Th largest economy in the world is not digested by one and all.. so get such puppets like Kunal Komra and fund him with terrorist funding , support him and run it smoothly damaging the integrity and law n order of our country and the state…”
“Requesting Mumbai police :- 1) Kunal Kamra YouTube channel should be demonetised, no financial transactions should be allowed 2) shall share more than 300 screen shots of payments received after multiple videos against our respected PM sir and others 3) scrutiny of such accounts is very important and u can see Canadian accounts and Khalistan money coming in…”
An FIR was registered against Rahool Kanal and 19 others for allegedly vandalising the Habitat standup comedy set in Mumbai, Maharashtra after Kunal Kamra made a “gaddar” (traitor) jibe during his comedy show. The comment was seen as directed at Eknath Shinde who broke away from the Shiv Sena and created his own party, collapsing the MVA government in Maharashtra in 2022.
According to Sub inspector Vijay of Khar police station, the Shinde Sena's youth faction entered the venue while a live show of standup comedian Rajat Sood was going on and forced the show to be closed down and vandalised the set.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has also taken action against Kunal Kamra, summoning him to appear before it for his alleged remarks.
