As many as eight schools in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, received a bomb threat over email on Thursday. Trichy City Police said, “Trichy bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs were rushed to the school to search for the bomb.”

On October 2, North Western Railway CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran confirmed that the station superintendent at Hanumangarh in Rajasthan received a bomb threat letter earlier in the week.
In response, police conducted a thorough inspection of the railway station but reported finding no suspicious materials. The Railway Police Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) intensified checks in and around the station premises.
RPF inspector Subhas Bishnoi said on Wednesday that they are on high alert. However, so far, no suspicious items have been found during checks.
"After receiving the information, we are checking the luggage of passengers. We are inspecting the waiting hall and dustbins at the railway station with the help of a dog squad. Special attention is being given to the luggage of passengers travelling through Hanumangarh. We are also advising passengers to inform the administration if they notice anything suspicious. Till now, we haven't found anything suspicious," he said.
Earlier in September, Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru received a bomb threat reportedly through an email from unknown individuals on Saturday, said police. The hotel is well known for hosting prominent figures. Local police and the bomb squad are at the scene and investigation is underway, said police.
Before this, a Vistara flight bound to Frankfurt was diverted to Turkey due to a security concern. According to sources, all 247 passengers on board are safe and local authorities are in touch with them. All passengers were deplaned, and a search operation was launched after landing in Erzurum Airport in Turkey.
