The Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) has formally alloted 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow in Civil Lines to Chief Minister Atishi, reported PTI.
On Wednesday, the Delhi Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Wednesday stated that the "Delhi chief minister's residence" at 6, Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines was vacated forcibly and was allegedly done with the involvement of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).It was also claimed that Lt Governor (LG) VK Saxena wanted to allot the bungalow to a BJP leader.
It was alleged that the belongings of the Delhi CM Atishi were removed from the house, according to a CMO statement shared by ANI. This residence was earlier allotted to the former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
In a X post AAP claimed CM Atishi's belongings were thrown out the CM residence.
“BJP's LG did not feel ashamed at all while getting a woman Chief Minister's belongings thrown out of the CM residence during the holy days of Navratri,” AAP said.
In a separate X post, AAP alleged that LG VK Saxena indulged in ‘cheap politics’.
"BJP LG Vinay Saxena resorted to cheap politics ‼️
♦️ BJP LG, who stopped all the work of Delhi government, got the belongings of Chief Minister @AtishiAAP thrown out of CM House
♦️ LG, who handed over Delhi to goons and criminals and got 1100 trees cut illegally, has lowered his level even further." AAP said on X.
Following this incident, both AAP and BJP engaged in a heated political exchange as the AAP released images and videos of CM Atishi signing papers in her Kalakaji residence surrounded by packed cartons belonging to the Delhi CM.
The BJP claimed that the Flagstaff Road bungalow is not the official residence of the Chief Minister and AAP is indulging in unnecessary politics, reported PTI. Additionally, Vijender Gupta, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly claimed that the Delhi CM is misleading.
"Whom is CM Atishi fooling by keeping empty boxes at her private residence and pretending to work? The people of Delhi are seeing how they are being mislead.
Because Aam Aadmi Party does not want to work, it only wants to pretend and make political gains by misleading the public," Gupta wrote on X.
