Dense fog alert: The Delhi airport has issued an advisory for commuters amid dense fog in the national capital. Zero-visibility was observed at many places in Delhi.
Taking to X, the airport said, “Due to Dense fog, there has been impact on Flight departures, however, flights which are CAT III compliant are able to land and depart from Delhi airport.”
It further requested passengeres “to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information.”
IndiGo took to X strongly recommend passengers to take extra time for their journey to the airport as foggy conditions in Delhi are reducing visibility and slowing down traffic.

SpiceJet also issued an advisory for passengers stating, “Due to expected bad weather (poor visibility) in Delhi (DEL), Amritsar (ATQ), Jammu (IXJ), Darbhanga (DBR) and Bagdogra (IXB), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights might get affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status”
According to Indian Railway, 26 trains to Delhi are running late due to fog conditions in the national capital and parts of north India.
As per RWFC Delhi, a yellow alert has been issued in the capital for dense fog at few places in the morning. The weather department has also predicted cloudy sky and shallow to moderate fog likley in the evening and night. The minimum temperature is expected to be 6 degree Celsius while the maximum is predicted to be 20 degree Celsius.
The overall AQI in the national capital was recorded at 411, which is in ‘severe’ category, data by SAFAR stated. As per CPCB data, Ashok Vihar recorded AQI at 456, Aya Nagar at 437, ITO at 430, Jahangirpuri at 449, Narela at 412, Okhla Phase 2 at 449, Patparganj at 446, Rohini at 457, RK Puram at 427, Wazirpur at 476.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good,' 51 and 100 'satisfactory,' 101 and 200 'moderate,' 201 and 300 'poor,' 301 and 400 'very poor,' and 401 and 500 'severe.'
