Prince Harry stated, "We don't want to be mere celebrities; instead, we want to utilize our position for the greater good."
During the interview, Prince Harry discussed his own royal responsibilities and reflected on the challenges of living in the public eye.
Prince Harry discussed both his royal role and the monarchy’s future saying that his family needed to use their status in a positive manner and not be just a unit recognized for their association with the British crown.
He has been involved in several legal cases against British newspaper publishers accusing them of breach of privacy.
Harry is suing Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) for alleged phone-hacking and other unlawful behaviour between 1991 and 2011.
Harry has accused his family and their aides of colluding with tabloids in his memoir and Netflix documentary series.
Harry holds the media responsible for his mother's death, Princess Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997 after being pursued by paparazzi photographers.
He expressed his desire admitting he was “determined to have a relatively normal life." He expressed hope that if he was “lucky enough to have children", they could experience a sense of normalcy as well. Despite moments of uncertainty, he ultimately chose to remain part of the royal family and sought to carve out his own meaningful role within "The Firm."
Prince Harry added, “There was a time I felt I wanted out. But then I decided to stay in [The Firm] and work out a role for myself."
Inspired by his late mother, Princess Diana, Prince Harry also highlighted his passion for charitable endeavors. In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to step down from their duties as senior members of the royal family. They now reside in the United States with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. While Prince Harry recently attended his father King Charles' coronation ceremony in the UK, Meghan Markle remained in California with their children.
