'Horrible mess': Gurgaon's infrastructure faces Twitter fury after heavy rains

  • Images of waterlogging and traffic jams were posted all over the micro-blogging platform
  • The city's claim to be a 'smart city' was mocked after minutes of heavy rain left it incapacitated

New Delhi: Gurgaon's urban authorities were once again the butt of ridicule on Twitter on Friday as the citizens were fuming about the city's creaky infrastructure when it gets lashed with heavy rains.

Images and videos of Waterlogging and traffic jams were shared all over the micro-blogging platform.

People could be seen mocking the idea of Gurgaon being a "smart city" when its main roads could be seen overflowing with water within minutes of heavy rain. Some people even showered praise on Mumbai for handling rains better than Gurgaon.
