A total of 800 people in Delhi who came in contact with a mohalla clinic doctor who tested positive for coronavirus have been quarantined, the state government said today.

They have all been quarantined for 14 days, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain told news agency ANI. Meanwhile the total number of coronavirus cases in Delhi have climbed to 36.

A mohalla clinic doctor and 4 others have been tested positive after they came in contact with an infected woman who returned from Saudi Arabia, Satyendar Jain said. The doctor's wife and daughter have also tested positive, he further added.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 649 in India, according to the Health Ministry data released today. The death toll due to novel coronavirus rose to 13, with one death reported each from Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh, Goa featured for the first time in the chart prepared by the ministry, reporting 33 coronavirus cases.
