If you are having mid-week blues, business tycoon Anand Mahindra is here to cheer you up with just one tweet. The Mahindra Group chairman today shared a post which features a diagram on Ikigai philosophy.
"I am not very familiar with this philosophy," Anand Mahindra wrote while sharing the sketch."But you don't need a Ph.D in the subject to see the common sense in this prescription for life," Mahindra added.
Illustrated by Tanmay Vora, the diagram talks about 10 rules of Ikigai. The sketch note is based on the book 'Ikigai: The Japanese Secret To A Long And Happy Life' by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralle.
The illustration features 'Stay Active. Don't retire', 'Take it slow', 'Don't fill your stomach', 'Surround yourself with good friends', 'Get in shape', 'Smile', 'Reconnect with nature', 'Give thanks', 'Live in the moment', 'Follow your Ikigai'.
This is a "good chart to see every morning before plunging into the day's routine," according to Anand Mahindra.
Ikigai is a Japanese concept which roughly implies "a reason for being" or a "reason to wake up in the morning". It is the reason you would want to get up in the morning.
Mahindra's post has received more than 3,000 likes in just few hours. Twitteratis pour their love with cheerful comments below that post. Some of them also share small anecdotes about the Japanese secret philosophy to lead a happy and healthy life.
