The Atal Setu or MTHL bridge will be open for commuters on Saturday morning. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Mumbai traffic police shared a list of vehicles not allowed on the bridge. "People had no hopes from the system which had the habit of delaying the works for years. People thought that it was difficult for big projects to get completed while they were alive. This is why, I had assured that the country will change. This was a 'Modi Guarantee' back then," says PM Modi.

If youth express their political views by casting their votes, the future of the country will be good. Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Friday said that image of a 'rising India' can be seen as India is now the world's fifth-largest economy.
"But after three months, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become PM for the third time... we will be the third largest economy in the world," he added.

Equipped with cutting-edge Japanese technology, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), also known as the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, will cut short the arduous two-hour-long journey between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai to a mere 20-minute ride.
The Atal Setu will reduce 42 km of drive to only 22 km, saving travel time and fuel both.

Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) commissioner Sanjay Mukherjee told Hindustan Times that during the construction of Atal Setu bridge, seven workers died.
"Overall, seven workers had died, and those deaths were reported before I took charge in July 2023".
The official added that that the MTHL was completed six months before the deadline.
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) commissioner Sanjay Mukherjee told Hindustan Times that the 21.8-km-long Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) was ready on 25 December-sixth months before the deadline.
"Initially, I made the workers do two shifts. But when the contractors told me that they could complete the work by June 2024 or earliest by March 2024, we made the workers come in three shifts," the MMRDA chief told HT.

The maximum speed limit for four-wheelers on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) will be 100 kmph.
The speed will be restricted to 40 kmph on the ascent and descent of the bridge.
There will be no entry for vehicles like motorcycles, mopeds, three-wheelers, autos, tractors, animal-drawn vehicles and slow-moving vehicles.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the underground road tunnel connecting Eastern Freeway's Orange Gate to Marine Drive. The 9.2-km-long tunnel will be built at a cost of more than ₹8,700 crore.
Atal Setu is about 21.8 km long six-lane bridge having about 16.5 km length over sea and about 5.5 km on the land. The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link has been constructed at a total cost of more than ₹17,840 crore.
The bridge will also reduce the travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India.
