Diwali, the biggest festival of Hindus, is followed by Laxmi Puja, Govardhan Puja, Bhaidooj and other festivals. Several business communities also celebrate the Vikram Samvat New Year Day right after Diwali.

After this Friday, banks across India will be closed on Saturday as it is the fourth Saturday of the week. Sunday is again a weekly bank holiday. Diwali will also be celebrated on this day.
