- And after 9th April, beneficiaries may withdraw any day at their convenience
The first instalment of ₹500 will be deposited in accounts of women Jan Dhan Yojana beneficiaries starting from tomorrow. As announced in Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package to ease the hardship of the poor in view of the lockdown, a sum of Rs.500 per month will be deposited in the accounts of women Jan Dhan Yojana beneficiaries for three months.
To maintain social distancing and to ensure orderly withdrawal of money by the beneficiaries, the banks will follow a schedule for disbursing this money for this month. For beneficiaries whose Bank account numbers ending (for withdrawal):
Women an Dhan Yojana beneficiaries account holders having account number with last digit as 0 or 1, date on which amount could be withdrawn by the beneficiaries - 3.4.2020
2 or 3 (account number with last digit) - Date: 4.4.2020
4 or 5 - 7.4.2020
6 or 7 - 8.4.2020
8 or 9 - 9.4.2020
And after 9th April, beneficiaries may withdraw any day at their convenience.
Banks have requested all beneficiaries to cooperate and ensure safety and comfort of everyone. "As this money is being deposited in to the Bank accounts, the beneficiaries need not rush for withdrawal, money can be drawn at your convenience at any later date," Indian Bank Association said.
"Also, request the beneficiaries to use the neighborhood ATMs with Rupay cards, Bank Mitras, CSPs as much as possible to avoid crowding at the branches," it added.
There will be no charges for withdrawing money from other bank ATMs, at present, as per government directives.
