The Bombay High Court has granted bail to two individuals arrested in connection with a plot to kill actor Salman Khan. Seven people were arrested in connection with a plot to kill the actor near his farmhouse in Panvel last year. The plan was hatched by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and officials claim that all the accused were linked to the jailed gangster.
According to reports, the Bench granted bail to Wasim Chikna and Sandeep Bishnoi as there was no substantial incriminating evidence against them. The duo had been part of a WhatsApp group within which the alleged conspiracy was hatched and outlined.
The actor had received threats from the Bishnoi gang on several occasions — including an April 2024 firing incident outside his apartment in Mumbai. Months later in June that year, the Navi Mumbai Police claimed to have discovered a plot to kill Khan when he traveled to his farmhouse in neighbouring Panvel. Security has been heightened and the actor also remains under 24-hour police protection.
