The Uttar Pradesh police have deployed additional police personnel in Ayodhya to maintain law and order ahead of Chaitra Navratri that begins from March 30 and ends on April 7. This comes after CM Yogi Adityanath chaired a review meet on March 21 on security concerning the city ahead of the festival.
Adityanath asked the officials to conduct meetings with communities to maintain harmony as well as remaining cautious and monitoring the social media. He added zero-tolerance be shown towards any mischievous statements, further directing officials to ensure proper facilities for cleanliness, hygiene and drinking water on the occasion of Eid.
He emphasised on increasing foot patrolling and active PRV 112. In an event in Agra, he spoke about Ram temple and said constructing the temple was considered impossible but that resolve was accomplished.
Ayodhya will witness a huge Ramkot Parikrama prior to Ram Navami, aiming to provide a more divine and enriching experience for devotees. The event preparations were concluded in a meeting comprising saints and mahatmas, who conferred about making it a historic and spiritual occasion.
21 impressive tableaux from different temples, consisting of depictions of the Ram temple and significant figures like Maharana Pratap and Sant Ravidas. “Thousands of devotees are expected to attend, and the event promises to be a grand spiritual gathering that will further enhance Ayodhya's significance as a center of devotion,” Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust said.
“In view of the upcoming Chaitra Navratri and especially Ram Navami, we had sought additional police force from the headquarters, which has been allotted to us. The area will be divided into various zones and sectors, the sole aim is to provide a pleasant experience to the devotees. We will ensure that proper security arrangements are made at the important points,” Raj Karan Nayyar, Ayodhya SSP, said.
Chaitra Navratri is an auspicious Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine forms, known as Navadurga. Devotees perform rituals and prayers. The ninth day of the festival marks the celebration of Lord Rama's birth. The festival represents the victory of good over evil and is celebrated with all enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, SDM Vandana Mishra conducted peace committe meeting in Sambhal where "it was decided that Namaz should not be read on the roads” and they agreed to this. Besides, discussions on usage of mikes and loudspeakers was turned down. However, Namaz on the terrace near the Masjid could be allowed after proper investigation.
