The confirmed coronavirus cases in India rose to 519 on Tuesday, the Union Health Ministry said. Of them, 43 are foreign nationals. Nine Covid-19 related deaths took place in the country so far.
The active cases stand at 470. Kerala overtook Maharashtra in terms of cases with 95 cases turning positive in the southern state. Maharashtra has the second highest cases at 89.
Two people died on Monday, one in West Bengal and another in Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday his government has set up a five-member doctor team to suggest the plan to deal with the situation if Delhi reaches stage 3 of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Over 94,000 NRIs and foreign returnees entered into Punjab in recent days. Most of them have been tracked and around 30,000 people have been placed under isolation. All-out efforts are being made to trace the remaining," said Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's office.
As 32 states and union territories imposed complete lockdown till March 31, the Centre asked them to clamp curfew wherever necessary in the wake of people defying lockdown orders .
Cases were booked against hundreds of people in different parts of the country including in Delhi for violating prohibitory orders. In Hyderabad, police said it had to resort to mild caning against the violators.
As on date, cumulatively 1,87,904 people are under surveillance, and around 35,073 have completed 28-day observation period as on day, an official statement said.
With the lockdown hitting the Indian industry hard and causing job losses, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told reporters an economic package to help tide over the crisis will be announced very soon.
Prime Minister Modi while interacting with senior journalists from the print media via video links said citizens need to be assured that the government is committed to countering the impact of COVID-19.
