Coromandel express accident: The Coromandel Express train on Friday derailed in Odisha's Balasore district and around 50 people are feared to be dead in the accident while 179 are reported to be injured. Owing to the Coromandel express accident, the Indian Railways are decided to cancel many trains.
The search and rescue operations are currently underway and the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as directed Revenue Minister Pramila Swain and Special Relief Commissioner Satyabrata Sahu to rush to the spot and coordinate the rescue efforts.

Additional rescue teams dispatched to accident spot:
The Odisha government said that additional rescue team of Odisha Fire and Emergency Service comprising 26 members with advance rescue equipment of Odisha Fire and Disaster Response Academy Bhubaneswar moved to the train accident site for rescue.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) control room to take stock of the relief operation in the aftermath of a train derailment. “I have just reviewed the situation about this truly tragic railway accident. I will be visiting the spot tomorrow morning," Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said.
