The number of coronavirus cases is surging in the country. 23 Covid-19 cases have been reported in Bihar till today morning. News agency ANI reported that the state govt has decided to test all the people who have returned from abroad after 18 March. "23 coronavirus cases have been reported in Bihar till today morning. State govt has decided to test all the people who have returned from abroad after 18th March, because we have found that even those who had no symptoms have tested positive: Principal Secretary, Bihar Health Dept,"ANI tweeted.
Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary, Bihar health department also said "We have received a list of 81 people who had attended the Markaz gathering (in Nizamuddin, Delhi). 17 in Patna and 13 in Buxar have been traced as of now, we will trace others also."
On Tuesday, six fresh coronavirus cases were reported in Bihar. Among those who tested positive were four people who had returned to Siwan district from Saudi Arabia, all aged between 20 and 40 years, IGIMS hospitals microbiology head S K Shahi said.
So far the state has reported one death due to the novel coronavirus. A 38-year-old man with a history of travel history to Qatar died on 22 March.
