Jaipur: Two new coronavirus positive cases were registered in Rajasthan taking the total number of coronavirus cases to 38 in the state.
On Wednesday, four new cases of COVID19, including three from Bhilwara and one from Jodhpur were reported from Rajasthan. Two of the affected in Bhilwara are medical support staff. "Four new cases - 3 from Bhilwara and 1 new from Jodhpur. Total 36 positive cases for COVID-19 in Rajasthan," said a government release
The Union Health Ministry had on Wednesday reported 606 positive coronavirus cases in India including 43 foreign nationals.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding assistance in terms of food and social security for economically weaker sections, tourism industry and MSME units in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
As the number of coronavirus cases surged past 500, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a complete nationwide lockdown for 21 days from Tuesday midnight. Only essential services like grocery shops, banks and ATMs and medicine outlets will remain functional.
