- The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 166 today
Amid coronavirus fears, Karnataka released an advisory asking passengers travelling from Dubai to Bengaluru on an IndiGo flight on 15 March to report to the nearest government hospital as a positive case of COVID19 had used the facilities.
"All the passengers who were on board the IndiGo flight number 6E96 (Dubai to Bangaluru) on 15 March 2020 and also those who travelled in KSRTC Bus No. KA19F3170 from Bengaluru to Madikeri, should immediately report to the nearest government hospital," District Administration Kodagu said in a statement.
"The advisory is being issued in view of a positive case of Covid-19, which was reported from Kodagu on 19 March,2020, had used this flight/bus facility for conveyance," the statement added.
Meanwhile, the total number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 166 today after a record number of fresh cases reported from the various parts of the country. Maharashtra is the worst affected state with the maximum number of cases. According to the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total tally includes 141 Indian nationals and 25 foreigners.
