Delhi Police on Sunday shared an awareness tweet along with creativity after the much-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) final match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans was delayed due to relentless rain at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and was later postponed for May 29.
But before the official announcement was made, Delhi police twitted there is a lesson hidden in this incident. Sharing a witty post on road safety using the match delay, the department said the IPL final has taught us a lesson that things may not go as we plan, hence we must always have insurance of our vehicles.
“#IPL2023Final has taught us that things may not happen as we plan. That's why ALWAYS HAVE VEHICLE INSURANCE. #CSKvGT,” Delhi Police tweeted.
Since being posted, the tweet has already garnered more than 18.5K views, 306 likes and 53 retweets.
It was not only Delhi police who took to twitter, but several cricket fans too, eagerly waiting to see if the final match would start or be postponed, started twitting to their reactions on the social media before the official announcement was made that the final match is finally postponed for Monday.
