NEW DELHI : A special court in Jammu sent suspended Jammu & Kashmir police officer Davinder Singh and three others to 15 days’ National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody on Thursday.

The suspended deputy superintendent of police was quizzed by the NIA on Wednesday for allegedly helping terrorists travel out of the Valley. The probe agency also conducted searches at the cop’s residence in Srinagar’s Indira Nagar.

The NIA is also probing Singh’s involvement with Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and other operational and active terrorists groups.

He was arrested by the J&K Police earlier this month while he was travelling with militants of the Hizbul Mujahideen in the region’s Kulgam district.
