For every DDA flat on offer under the DDA Housing Scheme 2019, there were 5 applicants on an average
DDA is sending emails and SMSes to all applicants announcing the results
NEW DELHI :
About four months after the launch of DDA Housing Scheme 2019, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) today announced the results of a computerised lucky draw (lottery) for allotment of about 18,000 flats in Delhi's Vasant Kunj and Narela residential areas.
For every DDA flat, there were 5 applicants on an average as about 45,000 people applied for about 8,500 flats for which the draw was conducted under the housing scheme.
Although about 18,000 flats were put on sale under the DDA housing scheme, the authority placed about 10,000 flats for the draw, out of which only about 8,500 were allotted in various categories.
The original total quantum of 17,921 flats was reduced to 10,294 as very less number of people applied for flats in Narela, especially in the EWS category, PTI reported.
The entire application process was conducted online. The successful applicants will be asked to pay the purchase price of the allotted flat while the unsuccessful ones will be refunded their application money.
For the economically weaker section (EWS) category, the application fee was fixed at ₹25,000, for the LIG category it was ₹1 lakh and for MIG and HIG flats ₹2 lakh.
The computerised draw, based on random number technique, was held at DDA headquarters, Vikas Sadan, from 12:30 pm. DDA said the draw was held in the presence retired high court judge S N Aggarwal, Prof Anshul Kumar of IIT-Delhi and deputy director general of National Informatics Centre Vishnu Chandra.
