NEW DELHI: For allotment of flats to applicants under DDA Housing Scheme 2019, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will be conducting a lottery draw at its headquarters tomorrow.
According to an announcement by the DDA, the lucky draw will be held tomorrow at 12:30 onwards at the authority's headquarters Vikas Sadan.
The lottery draw will be based on random number generation system and held in the presence of judges and senior officials of the DDA.
DDA flat applicants can watch the live telecast of the lucky draw through web streaming on DDA website. Applicants can also visit the DDA headquarters at Vikas Sadan and watch the live proceedings at the Nagrik Suvidha Kendra.
Under the DDA Housing Scheme 2019, about 18,000 newly built flats in Delhi's Vasant Kunj and Narela residential areas, were put on sale.
Under the DDA scheme, flats will be allotted only through lottery system and the application money will be refunded later on to unsuccessful applicants.
Launched on March 25, applications under the scheme were open till June 10. PTI reported that the DDA received a no-so-encouraging response to its offer for sale of flats.
The DDA had approved a proposal to reduce the cost of EWS flats in Narela, part of the online Housing Scheme 2019, "by up to 40 per cent of the construction cost". The modified rates would apply to allottees of the current scheme.
In case of leftover flats, it would be re-advertised soon at reduced rates. This will make these flats available at concessional rates to the economically weaker section.
