For sale of about 18,000 newly-built flats in Delhi's Vasant Kunj and Narela residential areas, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has extended the online application deadline by another month. In a new notification, the authority has informed that the DDA Housing Scheme 2019 that was to close by May 10 will now end on June 10.
Under the housing scheme, DDA has put 17,922 flats on HIG, MIG, LIG and EWS flats on sale for which you can apply only through the online mode. The authority has issued a detailed set of instructions, a layout plan of flats and price list in its brochure available on the DDA website.
The highest price, for a 3-BHK flat in Vasant Kunj, goes up to ₹1.7 crore while the cheapest one, a 29.77 sq metre EWS unit in Narela, costs about ₹10.4 lakh. Flat allotment will be done through a lottery system after the closure of application deadline and the application money will be refunded later on to unsuccessful applicants.
Application forms can be accessed online on websites of 13 empanelled banks including the State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Yes Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, etc.
To apply you need to pay a refundable deposit of ₹25,000 for EWS flats, ₹1 lakh for LIG and ₹2 lakh for MIG and HIG flats.
You can go to the DDA website and register for buying a flat as per your choice in Vasant Kunj and Narela and eligibility by submitting your details.
For the economic weaker section (EWS) category, application fee is ₹25,000 and ₹1 lakh for the LIG category and ₹2 lakh for MIG and HIG flats.
From application to verification and other formalities, all processes would be conducted online, officials said.
