Seeking to provide last-mile connectivity for commuters, the Delhi Metro has extended its electric-bicycle (e-bicycle) last-mile connectivity service to two more stations. The service has been introduced at Malviya Nagar and Saket metro stations, which comes under the Delhi Metro Yellow Line route. The service has been made operational by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Mobycy Zypp, a Gurugram-based e-scooter startup.

"In a move to further boost last mile connectivity for passengers, DMRC along with Mobycy Zypp has introduced e-cycle service at Malviya Nagar & Saket metro stations."

The service was formally flagged off from the Malviya Nagar metro station by A K Garg, Director of Operations at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, in the presence of other officials.

"In its constant endeavour to promote eco-friendly last-mile solutions, DMRC is already operating e-rickshaw, e-bikes, bicycle stands from various metro stations across the network," the DMRC said in a tweet.

The DMRC has been taking various steps to strengthen last-mile connectivity. It has also tied up with bike-sharing app Yulu for last-mile connectivity. The company has launched services from Dilli Haat (INA) to JLN Stadium in central Delhi in collaboration with the DMRC to cater to first and last-mile connectivity for commuters and to reduce congestion and pollution in the city.
