The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued advisory regarding train services on Yellow line on Saturday (22 February) and Sunday (23 February). To undertake planned track maintenance work on UP line of the above section, train services between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate section of Yellow Line will be run on single line (through DOWN Line) after 9.30 pm till 7.30 am on Sunday i.e, 23rd February 2020, DMRC said in a press release.
To ensure that there is no inconvenience to commuters during these non-peak hours, the Delhi Metro has also made the following special arrangements on the section:
1) Short loop train Operation from Vishwavidyalaya to Samaypur Badli and from Kashmere Gate to HUDA City Centre during the said period. The frequency of the trains will remain as per routine time table in above section. Between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate, trains will be available at a frequency of 15 minutes.
2) Feeder buses will be deployed from Vishwavidyalaya to Kashmere Gate stations to provide ease to commuters affected in this section. The passengers can avail this service free of cost.
3) Announcements will also be made at the stations and inside the trains on Yellow Line about destination of trains and respective platforms for change over during this period.
The Delhi Metro's Yellow Line, which connects Samaypur Badli in Delhi to HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon, has 37 stations.
This line has interchanges with red line and violet line at Kashmere Gate, blue line at Rajiv Chowk, Airport Express Line at New Delhi and violet line again at Central Secretariat. It is the second longest metro line on the Delhi Metro network.
