The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a tweet at 9.28 a.m. there is a delay in service from Central Secretariat to Sarita Vihar on the Violet line.
Several commuters took to Twitter to vent out their anger. The services of Delhi Metro Violet line were delayed in the peak office hours.
Later, after about 45 minutes the services resumed on the line. Tweeting about it, DMRC said, "normal service has resumed".
The 46.6 km violet line connects Kashmere Gate ISBT in north Delhi to Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh via Faridabad. There are 34 metro stations on this line.
The Delhi Metro is one of the most used public mode of transportation in the national capital with a daily ridership of over 25 lakh.
