Indian Railways in a bid to provide better travelling options between Delhi and Mumbai has increased the frequency of 22221/22222 Rajdhani Express. The Rajdhani Express which runs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai to Hazrat Nizamuddin will now operate four days instead of two days.
Train No. 22221 Rajdhani Express with increased frequency will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with effect from 16 September .
Train No.22222 Rajdhani Express with increased frequency will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday with effect from 14 September.
The train will have eight stoppages including the originating and terminating stations.
22221 Rajdhani express will depart from CSMT (Mumbai) station at 04.10 PM and will stop at Kalyan, Nasik Road Railway Station,Jalgaon, Bhopal, Jhansi, Agra Cantt and finally terminating at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station next day at 10 .05 AM. The total duration of the journey will be seventeen hours and fifty five minutes
Train Number 22222 Rajdhani express will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin (Delhi) station at 05.15 PM in the evening and will reach CSMT ( Mumbai) next day at 11.50 AM in the morning. The total duration of the journey will be 18 hours and thirty five minutes.
The rake of the Rajdhani Express will consists of one AC First class coach, five AC two tier coaches and eleven AC 3-Tier coaches. The train will also have a pantry car as well. The Train will have a stoppage time of two minutes on Kalyan, Nasik, Jalgaon and Agra Cantt stations while it will have a five minutes stoppage time at Jhansi and Bhopal Railway station.
