Delhi Police's Twitter response to Elon Musk has been appreciated by netizens.

Delhi Police's official Twitter account responded with wit and wordplay when Elon Musk pondered the existence of police cats similar to police dogs.

Delhi Police clarified that, while cats are not part of their squad, engaging in certain activities could result in one being "booked for 'feline-y' and 'purr-petration'," cleverly alluding to the words 'felony' and 'perpetration' with feline and purr references.

The initial query did not originate from Elon Musk himself; rather, he revealed that his son, 'Lil X,' had posed the question regarding the presence of police cats alongside their canine counterparts.

Delhi Police’s response was appreciated by netizens. Some hailed the “purrfect" response by calling it “marvellous" while some said, “Kya baat Delhi Police."

Elon Musk, who gained substantial following on Twitter, recently stepped down as CEO and has been less active on the platform. His tweet about his son's query caught attention as it coincided with his noticeable hiatus from daily tweeting, which lasted over 48 hours. During this time, reports suggested he was in China, where he refrained from posting on the platform.

Elon Musk's son X, whose unconventional name X Æ A-12 caused a stir upon his birth in 2020, continues to captivate public interest. Musk's tweets have garnered significant attention since he became a prominent presence on Twitter.

Previously, the Tesla owner consistently tweeted every day in 2023, often with multiple posts. However, his recent silence in China, where several social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook, are restricted, marks the longest break from tweeting since June 2022, when he was actively involved in attempting to acquire Twitter and privatise it.

The absence of his tweets during his time in China is noteworthy, as per Bloomberg, considering his frequent activity on the platform. While social media platforms are generally inaccessible in China, they can still be accessed through virtual private networks (VPNs). Nonetheless, his temporary silence on Twitter has generated intrigue among his followers and observers alike.
