Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express train: Timings, stoppages, ticket price and more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the debut journey of the Delhi (Anand Vihar)-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express today.

This marks the introduction of the first-ever Vande Bharat train in Uttarakhand.

The IRCTC website further noted that the regular operations for the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express will commence on 29th May. With a travel time of 4 hours and 45 minutes, the train will cover a distance of 302 km. The train will operate on all days of the week, except Wednesdays.

The fare for an AC chair car ticket from Delhi to Dehradun will be ₹1,065, while an executive chair car ticket will cost ₹1,890. The train with the number 22457, departing from Anand Vihar railway station, is scheduled to leave at 17:50 or 5:50 pm, and arrive at Dehradun by 22:35 or 10:35 pm.

The timings for the Dehradun-Delhi Vande Bharat Express are as follows:

Departure from Dehradun at 7:00 am

Arrival at Haridwar Junction at 8:04 am

Arrival at Roorkee at 8:49 am

Arrival at Saharanpur at 9:27 am

Arrival at Muzaffarnagar at 10:07 am

Arrival at Meerut City at 10:37 am

Arrival at Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:45 am

During the journey, the train will make stops at Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Roorkee, and Haridwar. The train will consist of eight coaches, offering comfortable travel options for passengers.

The Indian railways have increased the production of blue and white-coloured trains in the country. During the current financial year, the railways introduced six Vande Bharat Express trains on various routes, including Rani Kamlapati-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Secunderabad-Tirupati, Chennai-Coimbatore, Ajmer-Delhi Cantt, Thiruvananthapuram Central-Kasaragod, and Howrah-Puri rail routes.
