Brand leaders and marketing heads across the globe are facing a massive challenge in the digital age. Consumer behaviour is evolving by the minute, thanks to new-found access to technology. A large cross-section of the population is exposed to a wide range of choices in products and services on the Internet.

Brands need to work to refine their digital marketing strategies to boost their sales and offer requisite services. New technologies are continuously emerging, thereby changing the relationship of a brand with its customers.

Social media works well with most age-groups, but especially with millennials. According to a recent Deloitte report, 47 percent of millennials are influenced in their purchases by social media, compared to 19 percent for all other age groups. The report further states that shoppers are 29 percent more likely to make a purchase the same day when using social media to help shop before or during a trip to the store.
