Prime Minister Narendra Modi delved into his views on life and death during the Lex Fridman Podcast, which was released on Sunday. The Prime Minister called life and death ‘two sides of a coin.’

“I have a very interesting question. Life and death are two sides of a coin, but which of the two is more certain?,” Modi asked Fridman's question, ‘Are you afraid of death?’

Sunday's episode of the Lex Fridman podcast is PM Modi’s second podcast appearance. Earlier, in January, Modi had a discussion with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath in a podcast.

‘For it is uncertain’

“That’s how life will evolve and flourish, for it is uncertain. That’s why you must commit to enriching, refining and elevating your life so you can live fully and with a purpose before death comes knocking,” Modi said.

Before Modi, global leaders like US President Donald Trump, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Argentinian Prime Minister Javier Milei, tech moguls Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Sam Altman and public intellectuals like Yuval Noah Harari have appeared in the Lex Fridman podcast.

That’s why you must let go of the fear of death. After all, death is inevitable and there’s no use worrying about when it will arrive.

“That’s why you must let go of the fear of death. After all, death is inevitable and there’s no use worrying about when it will arrive. It will arrive when it’s meant to,” Modi said in the three-hour-long Lex Fridman Podcast

Fridman then asked Modi what gave him hope about the future of human civilization.

“Well, I am an optimist at heart. Pessimism and negativity are simply not ingrained in my mindset. They don’t align with the way I think. That’s why I always gravitate toward the bright side instead,” the Prime Minister responded.
