Fake news alert: Notification on NExT exam being scheduled in second-half of 2023 is fake, Health Ministry informs
1 min read 08 Jun 2023, 07:53 AM ISTThe Health ministry and the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a clarification stating that there is no such letter of NExT exams and all official notices should be checked on the NMC website.

The Union Health Ministry on 7 June has issued a fakes news alert on the notification doing rounds on social media of National Exit Test (NExT) exams being conducted in second half of 2023.
In a tweet, the Health Ministry wrote, “This document is reportedly floating in various social media platforms. This is Fake. Please do not share this further."
The fake notification stated that "NExT will be finalised in the second half of 2023. The commencement of the exams will be immediately 30 days after the schedule is published. It is also to be informed that the NExT Part 1 will be conducted by AIIMS."
The National Medical Commission (NMC) too has issued a clarification on the same. In a release, it stated, “This has come to the notice of the Undergraduate Medical Education Board that a fake letter dated 07.06.2023 issued under the signature of the undersigned, is circulating in social media."
“It is brought to the attention of all concerned & stakeholders that there is no such letter dated 07.06.2023 issued by UGMEB of NMC regarding confirmation of upcoming National Exit Test, it added."
Further stating it said that, all important circulars and public notices should be checked only on the NMC website i.e. nmc.org.in to verify the genuineness of notices, circulars and letters.
