Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to expediting the recruitment process and ensuring transparency and fairness in candidate selection over the past nine years.

Briefing the media about the 9 years achievements of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Singh emphasized the significant strides made by the government in streamlining recruitment procedures and eliminating bias. He stressed that the government’s top priority has been to create a level playing field for all aspirants and attract the best talent across various government sectors.

Singh underlined the government’s resolute efforts in expediting the recruitment process, making it faster, transparent, and unbiased. He lauded the reforms undertaken, which have significantly reduced the time required for onboarding new recruits.

“In the last 9 years, the government has prioritized the recruitment process by making it faster, transparent, and unbiased," said Singh, highlighting the government’s commitment to merit-based selection. He further acknowledged the challenges faced previously, such as delays and lack of transparency, and expressed satisfaction with the improvements achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Singh also highlighted key measures implemented to streamline the selection process. These include the abolition of interviews for Group B non-gazetted and lower posts, enhancing transparency and expediting the overall recruitment process.

Furthermore, the government has introduced computer-based examinations to replace traditional paper-based exams. This transition has not only increased efficiency but also ensured a fair and standardized assessment platform for all candidates.

Singh also emphasized the government’s efforts to encourage greater participation of youth in government jobs. Regional languages have been introduced in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exams for various posts, facilitating candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds to apply for government positions.

The minister expressed his satisfaction with the progress made in the recruitment process and reiterated the government’s commitment to further enhance the system. The government remains steadfast in its pursuit of transparency, efficiency, and equal opportunities for all candidates.
