The IMD in its latest update noted that there will be a rise in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C over plains of northwest India during next 5 days and by 2-3°C over Central India during next 3 day

The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) has said that the maximum temperature is likely to be 39°C-41°C and about 2°C-4°C above normal at a few pockets over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next two days.
The IMD has issued an Orange Alert for severe heatwave in West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar till 10 June.
The weather department further stated that heatwave conditions are likely to prevail at one or two pockets in interior Tamil Nadu during the next two days.

-Rise in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C very likely over plains of Northwest India during next 5 days and by 2-3°C over Central India during next 3 days.
-Severe heat wave conditions very likely to continue in some pockets over Bihar during 6 to 10 June.
-Heat wave conditions very likely to continue in isolated pockets over West Bengal, east Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana during 6-10 June
-Severe heatwave conditions will also remain over east Uttar Pradesh during 7 to 10 June, and over West Uttar Pradesh during 8-10 June.

South India:
-Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds very likely to prevail over Kerala, Lakshadweep, South Interior Karnataka during the next five days
-Further similar conditions will prevail over Coastal and North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh during next 5 days.
-Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 6, 7 and 10 June
-Heavy rainfall will also prevail over Kerala during 6-10 June, and South Interior Karnataka on 9 and 10 June.
Northeast India:
-Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning is very likely to occur over North India during next 5 days.
-Heavy rainfall very likely over Manipur on 6 June, Manipur and Mizoram on 7 June and Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on 10 June.
Northwest India:
-Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning very likely over Northwest India on 6 and 7 June.
-The weather department informed that thundersquall (speed 50-60 kmph) likely to occur over West Rajasthan on 6 and 7 June and over East Rajasthan on 6 June.
