PremiumINDIA Bloc Maharally Highlights: INDIA bloc leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Pawar, and Tejashwi Yadav, have organized 'Loktantra Bachao Rally' at the Ramlila ground in the national capital against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's ED arrest today, March 31. The Enforcement Directorate has arrested the AAP supremo in an excise policy-linked money laundering case on March 21. Currently, Kejriwal is in ED custody till April 1.
Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the INDIA bloc protest. It said that the movement of vehicles in the city would be regulated for six hours on that day. Traffic movement will be regulated and may be restricted on Ranjeet Singh Flyover from Barakhamba Road to Guru Nanak Chowk, Vivekanand Marg from Minto Road to roundabout Kamla Market, Hamdard Chowk, JLN Marg from Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk and Ajmeri Gate, round about Kamla Market to Guru Nanak Chowk from 9 am to 3 pm.
The commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding or bypassing the roads, if possible, and by making maximum use of public transport, especially metro services, it said.

People from all over the country have come against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. The people of Delhi are aware that Arvind Kejriwal has changed their lives... On the INDIA bloc rally today, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi says, "Today it can be said that in order to hide their old crimes, all these parties which were against the Ram Temple, who made resolutions like mass destruction of Hindu religion, made many objectionable comments on the Gods and Goddesses of Hindu religion, are using Ramlila Maidan to hide their old crimes of corruption. As we are gathering here today, I think if it can be said in one word, there is a saying in Hindi, 'chori upar se seenazori..."

On security arrangements for the INDIA Alliance Maha Rally at the Ramlila Maidan today, DCP Central M Harshvardhan says, "To maintain the law and order and to ensure smooth traffic movement, elaborate arrangements have been made. The organisers of the rally have given an undertaking to adhere to some terms and conditions that are essential to maintain law and order... The time for the rally is permitted till 2 PM... We have made sufficient deployment. The gathering is expected to be of 20,000 as given by the organiser in the undertaking..."

Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai, who visited the Ramlila Maidan to inspect the preparations, claimed that Congress leader Sonia Gandhi will also attend the rally.

Preparations underway at Ramlila Maidan, for INDIA bloc's 'maharally' to protest against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest.
Two Members of Parliament (MPs) of the Trinamool Congress, including Derek O'Brien and Sagarika Ghose, will join the INDIA alliance rally on March 31 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, said TMC leader Shashi Panja.

The Congress on Saturday asserted that the INDIA opposition bloc's "Loktantra bachao rally" to be held at the Ramlila Maidan here is aimed at saving the Constitution and democracy and not any particular person.
It said a "strong message" will be sent out from the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance's (INDIA) rally on Sunday to Lok Kalyan Marg (where the prime minister's residence is located) that the BJP-led government's "time is up".
Top INDIA bloc leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Bhagwant Mann, Akhilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav will participate in a rally at the Ramlila ground on Sunday in what is seen as a show of strength and Opposition unity in the backdrop of arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal just before Lok Sabha polls.
Traffic diversion may be imposed on Rajghat Chowk, Minto Road, DDU Marg, Mirdard Chowk, Paharganj Chowk, A-Point, and Delhi Gate from 9 am onwards, it stated, adding that traffic regulations and diversion will be reviewed according to the requirement and update will be issued accordingly.
