NEW DELHI : Officials from India and Russia will discuss assisting each other on key sectors such as mobility, agriculture, small businesses, gig economy, tourism and connectivity at a high-level dialogue in the capital on Wednesday.

Federal policy think tank Niti Aayog vice chairman Rajiv Kumar and Russia’s deputy minister for economic development Timur Maksimov will lead the second strategic dialogue here, said an official statement.

The meeting will discuss development of technologies in the areas of transport infrastructure, farming, agro-processing and digital transformation of the economy. The strategic dialogue was initiated after Niti Aayog and the Russia’s economic development ministry signed a deal last year in Delhi. The first such meeting was held in Russia.

Niti Aayog has been playing a key role in shaping the Indian government’s policies on sectors like mobility and has been aiding policy makers on evolving schemes to develop the most backward districts in the country.
